Illustrated posters by Milwaukee artists for Milwaukee County Park lovers.
On Monday, November 26th, 2018, a collection of posters celebrating the Milwaukee County Parks were released to the public. A handful of Milwaukee-based illustrators were commissioned to create a poster for a specific park. Each poster is completely incredible- I am so honored to have been asked to participate among such amazing illustrators.
I was lucky enough to illustrate Washington Park. This park used to be the home of the Milwaukee County Zoo before it moved to a new location. Washington Park still features a massive, beautiful bandshell where concerts and performances are still held, an Urban Ecology Center, a public pool, a bike polo court, and abounding playgrounds (that's right, ABOUNDING). If you haven't been, I would definitely recommend giving it a visit.
If you're interested in buying this poster and/or others, visit parksforgood.com - all proceeds go towards the upkeep and preservation of the Milwaukee County Parks. They make excellent gifts and directly impact the beautiful parks of Milwaukee.
